Latest updates

Our latest updates –

Leicester League last Sat – well done to our ‘A’ and ‘B’ teams who came 3rd and 5th on Saturday. Don’t forget to check your times against the county champs qualifying times that we sent out last week.

Can everyone who was there on Saturday please check their T-bag t-shirts – Jacob Jarvis lost his during the evening – his name was on it – if you do find it please help us reunite it with Jacob!

If you didn’t see it, there was a lovely article and photo in the Evening Telegraph about the James Kirton evening – you can find it at  http://www.northantstelegraph.co.uk/news/olympian-gives-motivational-talk-to-kettering-swimmers-1-8231391

Club champs – the second session of our annual club champs is on this Saturday 18th November at CORBY POOL again – the post code is NN17 1QB. Swimmer registration is between 5.30 and 5.45pm with warm-up at 6.00pm. Let’s make this session even better than the first when we had almost a 100 personal bests!!! Raffle prizes and cakes will again be gratefully accepted. Do bring the family along to cheer on our swimmers!! There is a small car parking cost. Don’t forget we are donating what we raise at the champs to the ‘Crazy Hats’ charity.

Time badges won’t be on sale this weekend but keep a note of your times so you can check them the following week when Faye and Paul will be selling them again. These badges ( there are about 60 to collect!) are a great way of showing how your times are progressing. Any times swimmers achieve at galas or timing sessions can be used to achieve the badges. The form is on the KASC website.

A reminder that swimmers should also be checking their times against the county champs qualifying times ( sent out last week). Some of our swimmers have already achieved some qualifying times and some have also achieved regional qualifying times so let’s hope we get lots more over the next 3 champs sessions!!

Northants Sports Awards – thanks from Carol Simms for all the good wishes from everyone. Though she didn’t win the overall county award ( a chap who had been with his football club for 70 years won!) she was very proud to represent KASC

Junior Swimmer of the Month - Sept 17

SEPT
This month I really struggled to choose 2 swimmers for the award. I have been updating the objective sheets for all swimmers in every stage and I am very pleased with the amount of ticks that I have had to fill in! I was very proud of all those swimmers who participated in this month’s Academy Gala and there were some brilliant performances. This just illustrates the progression that all swimmers are making. The effort levels put in during Academy sessions is high and we have a great group of swimmers. Therefore, I would like to say a big Well Done to ALL ACADEMY SWIMMERS this month – keep up the hard work all of you!
