Sophie Bennett – Sophie has been awarded Swimmer of the Month for April to say a big ‘Well Done’ for her recent performances at galas and the PBs that she has gained from them. Since progressing to Development 2 Sophie has been working really hard and has adapted well to the increase in training load. It just goes to show that training well does pay off! Keep it up Sophie.
Jeremiah Muir– Jeremiah is has been chosen as our Swimmer of the Month for April as he will always train hard, listen to his coaches and will push himself to keep improving. I am really pleased with the progress that Jeremiah is making and he also has been racing well and gaining PBs at recent galas. He has a great attitude towards his training and the competitions that he enters. Well Done Jeremiah.

Max always works hard, he commits to his training and over the last few months has slowed down his arms to concentrate on technique. This is a huge step in faith - resisting the temptation to go all out on arm speed/just spinning the wheels. His distance per stroke this month is reaching further and his times are getting lower. Very impressed with Max's pbs and performance at the galas, he just keeps improving and developing. Well done Max
Harriet is a great trainer, enthusiastic and determined, all important attributes for a successful swimmer. Harriet over the past few months has had some great pbs, especially in fly, and is steadily decreasing her times in all strokes. Harriet has been positive, focused and eager to learn, an inspiration to others in the lane. Keep up the good work Harriet.
Please find attached a summary of information about Diddy galas from Claire following on from the Diddy gala on the 1st April. We know there are lots of parents new to swimming competitions and there’s loads of useful information in the document so do have a good read through it and let us know if you have any questions.
As a club we also have to provide officials for any gala that we do. As we enter 2 teams in leagues that’s 2 lots of officials to provide. If you are interested in becoming a timekeeper or judge please let us know. The training is held at Kettering pool with Howard Wilkinson from Corby ASC and is free. For timekeeping it’s only two theory sessions and then a practical (after you have had a few practices sessions). We will run sessions on Mondays 6-7pm for those interested. I will get the next course started as soon as I have a couple of people wanting to do it. As an official you get in free to galas and you won’t have to fight for seats with the crowd!!
The deadline for this meet has now been extended to 20/4/2017.
Entry forms are on our website and can either be given to a coach or myself or emailed to me.
