To help swimmers maintain fitness through the summer ( the County sprint Championships are in early September) we will be running ONE training session a week during the 4 week break for squads Development 1 and above. This will be at Kettering pool on Wednesday evening, 7.30-9.00pm. Costs per session will be £5 (done on a pay as you go basis) or £17.50 for all 4 sessions (paid in advance). For these sessions we ask that parents please pay by cash or cheque rather than by BACS ( there will be someone available to take money before the sessions)
Fatima has a positive, hard working and enthusiastic attitude towards swimming and is a pleasure to coach. She asks questions and has a desire to learn and improve, giving 100% to all aspects of her swimming, kicking and drill work. Fatima, continue with your drills, keep focused on continued improvement and you will guarantee faster times.
Ben has always had great arm speed and is beginning to use that asset by mixing it with improved technique. He always works hard and is competitive in training. Over the last month he has challenged the top swimmers in the club. Ben continues to improve his times getting pb after pb. Ben, continue to believe, be committed and start focusing on much bigger goals.
Due to an event at Oundle School on Tuesday 30th May 2017, we are not able to use the Oundle facilities so the senior training session has been moved from Oundle to the Cornmarket, Main Hall.
We will be starting this training session earlier so the swimmers can get an earlier night.
Cornmarket 7pm to 8.30pm.
Please dress appropriately for land training, trainers: tshirt, shorts or joggers, no jeans.
Please bring with you your kick boards, a drink and a positive mental attitude.
Sophie Bennett – Sophie has been awarded Swimmer of the Month for April to say a big ‘Well Done’ for her recent performances at galas and the PBs that she has gained from them. Since progressing to Development 2 Sophie has been working really hard and has adapted well to the increase in training load. It just goes to show that training well does pay off! Keep it up Sophie.
