Please find attached a summary of information about Diddy galas from Claire following on from the Diddy gala on the 1st April. We know there are lots of parents new to swimming competitions and there’s loads of useful information in the document so do have a good read through it and let us know if you have any questions.
As a club we also have to provide officials for any gala that we do. As we enter 2 teams in leagues that’s 2 lots of officials to provide. If you are interested in becoming a timekeeper or judge please let us know. The training is held at Kettering pool with Howard Wilkinson from Corby ASC and is free. For timekeeping it’s only two theory sessions and then a practical (after you have had a few practices sessions). We will run sessions on Mondays 6-7pm for those interested. I will get the next course started as soon as I have a couple of people wanting to do it. As an official you get in free to galas and you won’t have to fight for seats with the crowd!!
The deadline for this meet has now been extended to 20/4/2017.
Entry forms are on our website and can either be given to a coach or myself or emailed to me.
EASTER – There is no training over the Easter holiday weekend from the Friday to the Monday.
A big congratulations to Howard Farrow who has completed his Level 2 coaching award and Catherine Jeffs has qualified as a timekeeper.
A big well done to both from everyone at the club!

Thank you very much to all those who helped out, I understand that all went well considering changes needed making as a swimmer could not make it last minute and some swimmers turned up late. Please can I remind parents for future rounds that all swimmers need to be on poolside by 6pm ready for warm up.
