Team Captains 2017

Our captains for  2017 were announced at the awards night on Friday.

They are:

Seniors – Harriet Palmer and Austin Reed

Juniors – Declan Bell and Charlotte Johnson

We wish them luck in their roles.

At galas you will recognise them by their captains t-shirts

Hi everyone

We finally have names for our gala teddy mascots. Many thanks to Curtis Minney who organised the vote for us.

The ‘A’ team teddy ( complete with goggles, hat and t-shirt) – is going to be called – ‘Bob’

And the ‘B’ team teddy is going to be called ‘Sprint’.

They will be appearing at galas with their respective teams and will need some volunteers to look after them on poolside!

Junior Swimmers of the month - November 2016

Mia Brockway - Mia has been awarded the Swimmer of the Month due to her brilliant attitude towards her training and the effort she is puts in. She always tries her best during training and is willing to push herself in order to continue improving. She listens to advice from her coaches and takes it on board straight away. She also entered her 1st club champs this year and was keen to enter a variey of events. Keep it up Mia!

Fred Robertson-Smith - Fred has been given the award this month to say well done for all the hard work that he has been putting in. He has recently progressed up to the final stage of our Academy section and he is taking his new training load in his stride. Fred has also made recent improvements with his tumble turns and diving skills. He has entered this year's club champs and has begun participating in galas with the club. Well done Fred!

Senior Swimmers of the Month - December 2016

Cameron Johnson

Cameron accomplished a 'sub 60' on 100m freestyle with a time of 58.87 in the finals at the Club Championships.  Going under the minute for the first time and knocking 12 seconds off his pb from 2 years ago… what is possible this year Cameron?   He also medalled on his 100m backstroke and made bronze at the Northampton Winter meet.

Brogan Walker

Brogan showed us an exciting performance in the Club Championships with an outstanding win in the 100m Individual Medley, showing solid proficiency in execution of all four strokes.  A deserved win after the concerted efforts she has put in at training.  Keep up the good work Brogan.
