Nayan has been continuously putting in quality work and has been rewarded with great results at dash night. He has constant gains, always moving forward, working on technique, using unstoppable force with an excellent attitude toward his training, the coaching and his fellow swimmers. Great work Nayan
Anna has been steadily working harder and recently got great pbs in competition. She has always had great arm speed and now she is focusing on her 'distance per stroke' Speed, dps and a positive attitude is the way to go Anna. Well done, lets see those pbs keep coming.

KASC Team Manager
Lilly Greasley – Lilly has made a great start to the new season. Her hard work at the end of last season saw her start the new season in the top lane of the development 1 squad, which she has taken in her stride. Lilly has also committed to attending the Saturday morning training sessions, where she has been working hard on her starts and we have all seen great improvements over the first few sessions. Keep up the hard work Lilly, and I’m sure we will see it all pay off at Club Champs!
Sam Ward – Sam has now been with the club for 6 months and has grown in both confidence and ability. Sam’s attendance to training is brilliant and he always listens carefully, to all coaches, about how to improve his strokes and different techniques. Sam’s hard work has earnt him his place in the team for the first round of the Leicetser Autumn League. Sam has entered a wide range of events at our Club Champs this year, where I’m sure we will see all his hard work in the pool pay off!
Just a reminder that the deadline for the champs entry forms is THIS TUESDAY 20TH SEPTEMBER. You can give them to your coach or any committee member. Cheques or cash only please (cheques made payable to Kettering Amateur Swimming Club)
We still need people to volunteer to help. In particular we need parents to do the drinks for each evening and someone to help Jo Freeman on the door. We also need someone to do the announcing for the first evening ( training will be given)
We are looking for lots of raffle prizes. Again, these can be given to committee members or your coach as soon as you wish. I have quite a few people who have offered to do cakes to sell on each night but we do need more! Please bring these on each day of the champs.
Please find attached the information for the club championships at the Waendel Leisure Centre, Wellingborough. Please read everything carefully. We would encourage all swimmers to enter but if you aren’t sure, please discuss with your coach. There are medals to be won at the championships and then awards to be given out at the awards night in the new year as well. You have to be in it to win it!!!!
Champs dates are ( all Saturdays) - 22nd and 29th October, 5th November,3rd December. Remember, a swimmer must have become a member before 21st August this year to be able to enter.
Closing date for entry forms is Tuesday 20th September. Please do ask for help if you are not sure.
You can hand forms to your coach OR to Carol and Amanda at Kettering (at the Sunday and Monday sessions) or to Hilary at Oundle sessions.
This year, for the first time, we are running a prize draw for the swimmers with their entry forms. So, if a swimmer just enters races in one of the 4 sessions, that’s one prize draw entry, if they enter races in 2 sessions that’s two prize draw entries and so on.
For such a big event, we obviously will need lots of help from parents so if you can help in any way then please let us know as soon as possible. If our parents who are officials could also let us know which sessions they are available for please.
